A roads enforcement operation has been announced for the bank holiday weekend, beginning tomorrow morning.
There'll be additional Gardaí and speed vans on the roads this weekend.
A roads enforcement operation has been announced for the bank holiday weekend, beginning tomorrow morning.
Gardaí will be checking for people who may be speeding, driving under the influence or not wearing a seatbelt.
Speaking on Kildare Today, Newbridge Garda William Barry stressed that it is one of the busiest weekends on the roads, and asked everyone travelling to be conscious of "vulnerable" road users.
He also urged people not to use a mobile phone or be under the influence of intoxicants whilst driving, as well as emphasising the importance of wearing a seatbelt and staying patient as a road user.
