In the week that ended on the 9th July, 839 people in County Kildare had registered as having tested positive for Covid-19.
Kildare's incidence rate during that period stood at 377.1 per 100,000, according to new data from the HPSC.
The median age of people who contracted Covid-19 during that time was 42.
There were 981 Covid patients in hospital across the country yesterday. Of these, 43 were in intensive care, down one.
The highest number of new confirmed COVID-19 cases during this period was in the age group of 35-44
years with 20.7% of notified cases nationally.
County Kildare has the tenth highest incidence rate in the country.
The following counties are in the top ten for highest number of confirmed COVID-19 in the country, in descending incidence rate per 100,000 notifiedin Ireland, during week 27, between July 03 and July 09 2022.
