The first yellow thunderstorm warming is currently active until 4pm today
Met Éireann has issued two status yellow thunderstorm warnings for 14 counties.
The first is active at the moment and concerns Kildare, Carlow, Dublin, Kilkenny, Laois, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath and Wicklow until 4pm.
It's second alert, for rain and thunderstorms in Clare, Kerry, Limerick, Galway begins at 7pm.
Those counties may see surface water flooding, lightning damage and difficult travelling conditions overnight.
