The Kildare-Lexington Student Exchange returns next year, and is now accepting applications
County Kildare has been twinned with Lexington, Kentucky, since 1984.
One of the most successful aspects of the twinning with Lexington has been the annual Student Exchange.
It is open to students aged 16 and over - successful applicants will spend time in a family home in Lexington, and will welcome a US student to their home in Kildare.

Students are accompanied on the exchange by an adult chaperone.
The exchange receives funding support from County Kildare Twinning, therefore minimising the fee payable by each participating student.
The closing date for applications is November 19th.
Kildare students will travel to Lexington at the start of July; with the U.S. students travelling to Kildare later in the month.
