Kildare Pharmacies Unite For National Blood Pressure Day 2024

High blood pressure affects two out of three over 50s, but it has no symptoms.

Locals are being encouraged to avail of free blood pressure checks at over 26 participating pharmacies in Kildare on Thursday.

Participating pharmacies will provide once-off free blood pressure checks, giving individuals the opportunity to receive a detailed results card and relevant health advice or referrals.

The risks associated with untreated high blood pressure include an increased likelihood of developing heart disease, stroke, dementia, and problems with eyesight or kidneys.
