The funding will support eleven creative, cultural and artistic projects

A Kildare project has been included in a €7.6m investment initiative.

The Creative Climate Action Fund III (2026-2029) is to provide funding to support eleven creative, cultural and artistic projects, including two cross-border projects under the Shared Island strand of the Programme.

The Not Going It Alone: Ar Scáth a Chéile is led by Kildare County Council, and will receive an allocation of €629,600 in funding over the four-year period of 2026-2029.

The fund is supported by the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport, the Department of Climate, Energy and Environment, the Department of the Taoiseach, and national electricity grid operator, EirGrid.

These projects build on the success of two previous Creative Climate Action funds and represent the largest single investment under the initiative to date.
