The 'Postback' scheme allows people to order a free donation bag and organise for it to be collected, or drop it off in a local post office
Earlier this year, Oxfam Ireland and An Post launched a doorstep donation scheme aimed at boosting donations across Ireland.
The 'Postback' scheme allows people to order a free donation bag and fill it with items such as clothing, toys, books and more.
The recyclable bag holds up to 10kg in weight.
A free collection of the bag can be arranged, or people can drop it off to their nearby An Post post office.
Mark Sweeney, Donated Goods Strategy Manager at Oxfam, explained on this morning's Kildare Today show that "it was about making donating convenient for members of the public."
There are currently no Oxfam Ireland shops in Kildare, to which Mr. Sweeney noted that it made the PostBack scheme all the more convenient.
All donations will be unpacked and sorted by Oxfam staff, before being sent to Oxfam shops to be sold.
Oxfam Ireland say all profits will go towards their goal of fighting poverty around the world.
