The average rent for new tenancies in the county is €1,686 per month.
This represents a 0.5% increase in the final quarter of 2024 and a 2.3% rise year-on-year.
Wicklow is the second most expensive, with rents averaging €1,737 per month.
Dublin is the most expensive rental market, with rent costing €2,177 per month.

Landlords in Tullow in Carlow and Castlebar in Mayo will now have to follow capped rents.
The Rental Tenancies Board is urging landlords to check their rent calculations are correct.
