Kildare has been revealed as the third highest ranked county for new car registrations in 2025.
The report from 123.ie also described the county as a "leader" in EV sales.
People in Kildare registered 5,783 new cars over the year, with Cork (2nd) and Dublin (1st) the two counties ahead in the 2025 figures.
Dublin recorded 53,033 new car registrations, while Cork recorded 14,285.
Kildare was one of two counties where fully electric cars were the most popular type of car registered in the county.
In total, 1,432 electric cars were registered, almost a quarter of all new car registrations, giving Kildare the second highest share of electric cars in the country.
Carlow ranks fourth despite being one of Ireland's smallest counties by population.

Total new car registrations hit 124,954 in 2025, up 3% on the year before, with electric and hybrid vehicles becoming an increasingly common sight on Irish roads.
