Language is becoming a Leaving Cert subject.
Kildare Students will be able to sit Ukrainian for the Leaving Cert from next year.
Education Minister Norma Foley has confirmed those entering fifth year in September 2023 can sit the exam, according to the Irish Times.
The subject will made available as a non-curricular subject and aimed primarily at native speakers who've fled Ukraine after the outbreak of war.
