A Kildare woman has won the prize of 2026 Regional Carer of the Year.

Caoimhe Adderley-Kenna received the award at the Comfort Keepers Carer of the Year Awards 2026 in Croke Park.

She was one of 18 finalists from around the country.

Following the win, Ms Adderley-Kenna reflected on the love she has for her job:

"I realise just how much I love my job, and with each year I've grown more confident in my role and in the support, I provide to my lovely clients. I always make a conscious effort to go into my clients with a positive attitude and a smile on my face, hoping to brighten their day in even a small way, and that’s something that really matters to me. Just knowing I can have that kind of impact brings me a lot of happiness.”
