The Statistical Yearbook of Ireland shows that retail, admin and healthcare are the top three occupations in Kildare in 2020.
4,868 people work in retail and sales, followed by 3,189 people in administrative roles.
There are 2,484 nurses and midwives living in Kildare.
The yearbook also shows that 3,067 babies were born in the county last year, and 1,054 people died.
1,171 people in the county live in nursing homes, and another 12,754 people live alone.
Up to October 2nd of 2020, 2,666 cases of Covid 19 had been detected in the county, and 147 people had died with the virus.
