She topped the poll in Athy in the recent local elections, with the highest number of first preference votes in the county, at 2,347.
Their annual meeting was held in the Council Chamber this afternoon.
Fine Gael Cllr. Ivan Keatley is the new Leas-Cathaoirleach.
