For many residents, the Post Office remains a lifeline, offering essential services that are relied upon by a significant portion of the community.
Echoing Curran's sentiments, Councillor Nuala Killeen noted the heightened anxiety among locals regarding the proposed relocation.
Killeen emphasised the importance of maintaining vital community services within easy reach of residents, citing the Post Office as a cornerstone of the local infrastructure.
She said she has been in contact with the Post Office and that moving it would be a "massive blow" to the area.
