The building was badly damaged by a fire on August 15th 2023
Locals in Newbridge are wondering what the future holds for the McDonald's building in the Moorefield area of the town.
The restaurant was badly damaged by a fire on the 15th of August last year and since then, scaffolding has been erected and security is monitoring the premises.
However, residents say that the site has become an area where rubbish is now being dumped and it's beginning to smell.
Mag, a resident in Newbridge, told the 'Kildare Today' programme that locals just want clear communication on what is going to happen going forward.
McDonalds has been contacted for comment.
