Cannonball is the largest organised road trip in Europe with over 200 cars and thousands of spectators.
Lamborghinis, Porsches and Ferraris are just some of the classy vehicles on offer for the event travelling across the county.
It has also raised €2,281,871 for Irish children’s charities to date.
Speaking on Kildare Today, founder of the event Alan Bannon explains how the charity came about in 2009:
"In the first year we got 137 cars, it was an amazing atmosphere and it snowballed since then, every year it's gotten a little bit bigger.
"We've put a lot of work, effort and money into the production of the finish line, we had a big finish last year with over 30,000 people in Naas, so it's more than just a supercar event, it's a carnival atmosphere as well."
The event has grown over the years, with the fundraising goals even bigger for 2026, as they partner with Ronald McDonald House for the first time, after previously being partnered with the Jack and Jill Children's Foundation.
"We've focused on Irish children's charities, and occasionally adult charities, one of our smaller events in June raised around €45,000, so our aim this year is to raise €250,000 this year, bringing our total to over €2.5million."
He also paid tribute to the community who support the event, and kindly donate to good causes that partner with Cannonball.
"It's a community of people that are all very like-minded, they love their cars, they're very busy and they've one weekend a year to get together and they're very generous when it comes to the charity."
