The €24 million project involves a new wastewater pipeline between Maynooth Wastewater Pump Station and Leixlip Wastewater Treatment Plant, along with upgrades to the existing Maynooth Wastewater Pump Station
Uisce Éireann is advising of a road closure on the L1014 to facilitate works on the Maynooth Transfer Pipeline Project.
The road will be closed from the junction with the R157 to the L5050 at Catherinstown from Monday 15 September until Sunday 16 November 2025.
Diversion routes will be signposted, with emergency and local access maintained.

Once complete, it will provide capacity for more than 11,000 additional homes and improve the local wastewater network.
