County Kildare sees a 300% in luxury homes exceeding €1m plus
Sales of €1m-plus homes jumped by 67% between April and June this year compared with the same period in 2024, according to an Irish Independent analysis of the Residential Property Register.
A total of 140 properties sold for over €1m in that three-month period, up from 84 last year.
Dublin accounted for nearly half of all sales, while Cork and Wicklow also saw strong demand.
Kildare recorded a 300% increase in €1m-plus transactions, with one of the most high-profile sales being LadyCastle at The K Club for €1.5m.
Auctioneers say overseas buyers, particularly from the US, are adding to demand, while low supply continues to drive prices higher.
