Motorists travelling from Kildare via the N7 and the N4 are being advised to expect disruption.
A section of the M50 southbound is closed this morning following a serious two-vehicle collision.
The crash happened between Junction 11 Tallaght and Junction 12 Firhouse at around 5.30am.
A number of people were seriously injured and have been taken to hospital for treatment.
The southbound carriageway remains closed between the two junctions, with diversions in place.
