Man Arrested In Connection With Alleged Hijacking Incident In Newbridge.

The victim sustained lacerations to the nose in the incident.

A man has been arrested in connection with what's described as a hikacking in Newbridge.

Gardai say a man was accosted by two men while driving in Morristown Biller.

They attacked him with a knife, and he sustained a laceration to the nose.

The suspected fled the scene.

Gardai at Kevin's Street, Dublin, detained a man in connection with the inquiry yesterday.

The vehicle was recovered.

The man, who is in his late twenties and from the wider Naas area, was detained an interviewed.

A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosections.
