The man was stopped in Kildare town.
The Kildare Town Drug Squad on Monday, stopped and searched a car in the town, on inspection €1,000 of cocaine was discovered along with €600 in cash.
In a follow up search at two private properties in the town, Gardaí recovered €10,000 of cannabis herb.
The driver of the car has been charged with two counts under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
He is due to appear before Naas district court on the 14th July.
