A man is due in court following an assault of three Gardaí in Newbridge yesterday.
It occurred during a high visibility patrol in the town.
During an interaction with a man, he became violent and assaulted three members of An Garda Síochána.
The man, who is in his 30s, was arrested and detained at a Garda station in Kildare.
The Gardaí received medical treatment at hospital.
He has since been charged in relation to the assault and is due to appear before Naas District Court this morning (July 7).
Investigations are ongoing.
