Following operation targeting criminal activity
A man is due in Naas District Court this morning, in connection with the seizure of a sawn-off shot gun in Kilcock on Saturday.
A double-barrel sawn off shotgun was recovered from a car, which was stopped and searched.
The arrested male was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
Gardaí note the firearm was seized "in the course of an operation on Saturday afternoon targeting organised criminal activity in north County Kildare and Dublin."
The man was being held at Leixlip Garda Station.
