The incident is thought to have happened on Wednesday morning.
Gardaí are investigating an assault on a man who was discovered with serious injuries in County Kildare on the morning of Wednesday 8th March 2023.
The man, aged in his 40s, was discovered at approximately 10:30am on Wednesday 8th March 2023 outside a residence in the Piercetown area of Newbridge.
He was taken to Naas General Hospital where he is currently in a critical condition.
The scene at Piercetown is currently preserved for technical examination.
A man in his 30s has been arrested as part of this investigation and he is currently being detained at Newbridge Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
