He first abused her while the girl’s mother was in hospital.
A man has been jailed for fourteen years for abusing his nine-year-old daughter in the midlands.
The 58-year-old, who can't be named to protect HER identity, threatened to kill her and other members of the family if she told anyone.
The girl was just nine-years-old when her father first abused her in the family home in the midlands in late 2019, and over the next four months, his trial heard he repeatedly raped her, falsely imprisoned her and forced her to watch pornography.
The family was very religious and he used to tell his daughter that the bible says a child must do whatever their father says.
While showing her a knife, he also threatened to kill her and her other family members if she told anyone about the abuse.
He first abused her while the girl’s mother was in hospital. The court heard they were separated but still living together.
Despite his convictions, the man continues to maintain his innocent and claims his ex-wife made everything up to turn his children against him.
The now 11yo girl, says she often wakes up crying and is worried her school friends won’t want to play with her if they find out what happened.
Today, her father was handed a 15-year prison sentence with the final year suspended.
