Victim of stabbing has been named as Joseph McEvoy
A man in his 30s, arrested in connection with the stabbing to death of a man in west Dublin yesterday, remains in custody.
He was detained following an attack at a house in the Shancastle area of Clondalkin shortly before 6am.
34-year-old year Joseph McEvoy died in hospital following the incident.
According to the Irish Independent Joseph McEvoy was a father of two young boys and stepfather to a girl.
He was also a football club captain with Quarryvale Football Club.
