It looks like Maynooth is getting a state-of-the-art swimming pool.
It's expected that the former swimming pool in St Patrick's College Maynooth will be redeveloped.
Known as one of the oldest swimming pools in the country, the pool will be redeveloped into a modern, up-to-date facility.
Cllr. Naoise Ó Cearúil said tender documents for the pool are expected to go out at the end of August, with hopes that works will begin within the next year.
