Kildare institution extends sympathy to Ukrainian colleagues and students
Maynooth University is among those who have condemned the invasion of Ukraine.
The Kildare Third Level institution say they extend their deepest sympathy to all their Ukrainian colleagues, students and graduates, who anxiously await word from friends and family.
"Also in our thoughts are members of the MU community from the entire region, whose families, lives and livelihoods are affected by the escalating tension and violence.
Maynooth University stands in solidarity with those who cherish democracy and peace, and we will undertake a process of engagement with colleagues from this region to discuss and explore ways to activate our support."

Another protest is due to take place outside the Russian Embassy in Dublin today.
It is being organised by the Labour Party, which is among those calling on the government to expel the Russian Ambassador to Ireland.
