Maynooth's Litter-Free Triumph: A Testament To Community Pride And Tidy Towns Success

The town surpassed 40 other towns and cities nationwide.

There were no "seriously littered" towns or cities in Ireland for the first time in 20 years last year.

An Irish Businesses Against Litter survey found Maynooth is the most litter-free town or city.

The town surpassed 40 other towns and cities nationwide, including the previous winner, Naas, which secured the 11th spot and was still deemed “Cleaner than European norms.”

These women are all members of the local tidy towns group in Maynooth.

They say it's about taking pride in where you live.
