Maynooth's Paul Mescal can now add singer to his CV after releasing a song.
The track is called Slip Away and is an original song that he sang for the soundtrack to the film Carmen.
The movie was released in the US this week but has not been given an Irish date yet.
In the video for the song, the former Kildare footballer is also playing guitar as he sings acoustically.
It already has almost 60,000 listens on Spotify.
In the film, he plays Aidan, a Marine who has PTSD who works on the border between the US and Mexico.
