A meeting has been announced for early September to highlight the impact of planned data centres in Naas.
It comes as the Herbata Data Centre, composed of six large units, and a proposed Microsoft hyper-scale data centre, are both planned for Naas.
On social media, Data Centre Awareness Kildare said that they are "calling on the wider community to come together" for their first town meeting on Thursdy 3 September.
They say the meeting will allow people to come together, share concerns, raise awareness and make sure our community’s voice is heard regarding the impact of data centres.
They also encouraged people to sign a petition in opposition to these proposed data centres.
