Irish Water is conducting works at the Srowland Water Treatment Plant today.
There will be a shut down at the water plant serving much of mid Kildare today
Irish Water is conducting essential works at the Srowland Water Treatment Plant, which include the installation of new pipework.
A plant shut down is scheduled to take place between from 8.30am and 5pm.
The network has been "reconfigured" to maintain normal supply to customers and treated drinking water reservoirs will be filled to their maximum in advance of the works starting.
The following areas are affected: Kildare Town and surrounds; Carbury; Derrinturn; Naas; Athgarvan; Newbridge; Parts of Caragh; Kilmeague; Monasterevin; Calverstown; Nurney; Narraghmore; Ballitore; Prosperous and surrounding areas.
Further works will be taking place at the Srowlands Water Treatment Plant Wed 7 July. While the network has been reconfigured we're asking the public in parts of Kildare to conserve water where possible. See https://t.co/iIzNbgGLC5 for those areas. @KildareCoCo @kfmradio
