A Minister of State has visited the Shackleton Museum in Athy today, as a €3.8 million redevelopment project continues.
The project is being undertaken by Kildare County Council in conjunction with the Athy Heritage Company.
The museum celebrates the life of Kilkea born Polar explorer Ernest Shackleton
KCC has appointed an Architect Lead Design Team to the project.
Works are expected to being next year
