Clane, Blessington and Enfield each handed €100,000 funding.
There has been a mixed reaction to the news that Clane, Blessington and Enfield have been awarded €100,000 funding under the first ever Town Centre First
The fund is designed to help revitalise town centres and tackle dereliction.
Speaking to Kidlare Focus here on KFM this morning Blessington Independent Councillor Gerry O’Neill is concerned the money will be spent not on capital projects, but consultancy.
Clane-Maynooth Independent Councillor Padraig McEvoy hopes the money will help alleviate some of the traffic problems in the town.
