A moderate weather advisory has been issued for Kildare as warm temperatures continue.
The advisory has been in place since this afternoon (17th July) at 1pm and will end on Monday 20th July at midnight.
While temperatures will fall back somewhat from recent high levels, impacts will still be felt from the prolonged spell of very warm or hot and dry weather.
People are asked to check the met.ie website and app for updates to forecasts.
Potential impacts include water safety issues due to increased use of waterways, lakes and beaches, as well as some heat stress and dehydration, especially for the vulnerable and elderly, potential disruption to public transport, animal welfare issues, drought concerns and wildfires and forest fires.
