The Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI), the independent statutory body overseeing veterinary medicine and nursing, has announced the appointment of Kevin McConnell as Deputy President.
Kevin McConnell, a prominent veterinary practitioner based in Naas, was elected to the position following an uncontested election during the latest VCI meeting held on January 25th.
Operating within the Highfield Veterinary practice, McConnell specialises in equine veterinary medicine.
"It is truly an honor to be serving in this new role, and it was extremely rewarding to have been elected by my colleagues on the Council. The work of the Veterinary Council is vital to ensuring a well-regulated veterinary sector in Ireland and protecting the interests of the public," he said.
