Naas Garda Station recorded a five-year peak in crime last year, other stations include Portlaoise, Athlone, Wexford and Dungarvan as well as several stations in Dublin such as Lucan, Balbriggan, Lusk and Skerries.
According to the Irish Independent, Naas recorded a total of 2,108 offences in 2022, which included 485 arrests for theft, 218 arrests for assaults/threats, 248 for drugs and 284 public order offences.
In Newbridge a total of 1,232, which included 372 thefts and 157 public order offences.
In Maynooth there were a total of 749 offences, 300 of those were for theft.
In Athy there were 756 offences in 2022, which included 243 for theft.
