Ireland is making excellent progress when it comes to litter disposal, according to the latest survey from IBAL.
Naas is the cleanest town in the country topping the ranking of 40 towns and cities surveyed.
Ennis, Killarney, Leixlip and Monaghan were also in the top 5 cleanest town and cities across the country.
Several locations in Naas were highlighted for their exceptional presentation, including North Main Street, noted for its fresh appearance, Canal Walk at Abbey Bridge, described as a particularly attractive waterside setting, and Abbey Street Car Park.
Seven out of the ten sites surveyed in Leixlip received the top litter grade and the remainder were just shy of top marks.
Standout areas in Leixlip included the Main Street, Rye River Walk and Biodiversity Park, Leixlip Amenities Sports Centre, and the Town Centre Car Park. Beyond the survey sites, there was widespread evidence of Tidy Towns initiatives across Leixlip, visible through elements such as planter boxes and painted utility boxes.
