Naas Win At Croke Park To Reach Leinster Senior Football Final

Kildare champions come from behind to beat Shelmaliers in extra time

Naas have secured their place in the Leinster Senior Club Football Championship Final

They beat Wexford side Shelmaliers by 2-15 to 1-13 after extra time at Croke Park.

Despite a good start Naas trailed for most of the game.

They conceded a 7th minute goal and were behind by three points at the break.

A brilliant Darragh Kirwan goal brought the Kildare champions back into contention.

Eamonn Callaghan leveled the scores deep into injury time

It was 1-11 a piece at the end of normal play, so extra time was played.

Naas finished the stronger, and a late Dermot Hanifin goal capped off a famous 5 point win.
