Kildare South Labour TD Mark Wall raised the issue of the limited public transport services in Athy, a town with a population exceeding 11,000 people, representing an 82% growth since 2002.
This rapid growth highlights the increasing demand for transport infrastructure.
Almost 50% of the population leave the town to work.
Speaking in the Dail yesterday, TD Mark Wall said they have received on a petition of nearly 4,000 signatures from people who want better transport options with the town:
