Some of the older equipment from the site has been moved and refurbished at The Wonderful Barn, creating a second upgraded play space.

A new inclusive playground has opened in Leixlip.

Kildare County Council says the play area on Station Road has been designed so children of all ages and abilities can use it, with sensory features and accessible equipment.

A new car park with climate-friendly drainage has also been built as part of the project.

The Council says the new facilities will support families and improve community spaces in the area.
