It comes as the runs are set to take begin across the weekend of 29 August, and until 7 September.
A Newbridge resident is very much looking forward to being a patient ambassador for this years Breast Cancer Ireland Very Pink Run events.

The first run takes place on Saturday August 29 at Leopardstown Racecourse.
Sarah Vaughan was diagnosed with HER2-positive stage 2 breast cancer in November of 2023.
Sarah was in treatment until March of 2025, and she is now 33.
Speaking on Kildare Today, she said that since being diagnosed with cancer, she is very proud of herself for having progressed through the treatment:
"If you'd have said it to me three years ago that I'd have to do the treatment, I would've said there's absolutely no way [I could do it], but you just find strength within you and from all the people behind you, it's so difficult but afterwards you're so proud of yourself for how far you've come."
Sarah is now doing "really good" following her treatment, adding that she has "done a lot of counselling", with recent checks and scans also coming back very positive from her point of view.
As she looks ahead to this year's Very Pink Run events, she has described it as an "amazing" opportunity:
"I had shared my story with Breast Cancer Ireland and they reached out to me and gave me this amazing opportunity to be involved, I'm very grateful and looking forward to it.
"It's about all coming together and supporting each other and remembering the people we've lost, but also to stand together with the people currently going through it."
As a patient ambassador, she has aided in promoting the event, with behind the scenes work taking place since April in preparation for the runs.
