Kildare County Council has no funds available to redesign the bend on the road entering the village of Nurney from the Kildare Town side on the R415.
Cllr Brian Dooley (FF) said the area has been plagued by a "large number of incidents".
Speaking on Kildare Today, he said locals have reported motorists driving too fast and hitting walls.
He was told, however, that there is no funding available.
