The incident occurred last Saturday
Gardaí in Newbridge are investigating the theft of a ring from Fields Jewellers in the Whitewater Shopping Centre that occurred on Saturday 31st of August at approximately 12:45pm.
A male described as early 20’s, slight build wearing a grey hoody and bottoms and a black baseball cap entered the jewellers and asked to take a photograph of a ring.
While a staff member was holding the ring the male grabbed it and ran out of the shop.
The ring is described as a Northern Star diamond ring which consisted of 3 larger diamonds surrounded by a halos of smaller diamonds.
There are also a number of smaller diamonds on the shoulders of the ring.
The ring is distinctive because there is a small yellow diamond on the inside of the ring.
Gardai are appealing to anyone that might have any information or may have been offered the ring for sale to contact Newbridge Garda Station on 045 440 180.
