Power is expected to return by 6pm
Almost 1,000 homes around Kildare remain without power this afternoon, as the effect of Storm Debi is felt across the county.
In Leixlip, almost 900 customers are without power, 77 in Athy and 15 in Blessington.
ESB says crews are working to restore power as quickly as possible and the current estimated restoration time is 6pm this evening.
Already, power has been restored in Edenderry, Johnstown and Portarlington, where there were outages overnight.
