Uisce Éireann crews are working to repair a major burst water main in Kildare and restore water to affected customers.
The areas affected include Newbridge, Kildare Town, Milltown, Brownstown, Athgarvan and all surrounding areas.
There will be loss of supply from 5pm this evening, until 5am on Thursday, 21 May, due to a third-party strike on a water main in the Athgarvan area.
Uisce Éireann says it typically it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers.
However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers on higher ground or at the end of the network as the network recharges.
Kfm News has contacted Uisce Éireann for comment.
