The measure is being considered to support re-opening firms.
Consideration is to be given to the suspension of pay parking in Leixlip and Celbridge.
Kildare County Council says any suspension of the by-laws will be temporary.
It is proposing to councillors of the Celbridge Leixlip Municipal Districti that the suspension include parking enforcement "in various locations across the MD area"
It is designed "to facilitate the re-opening of businesses subject to S254 licence approval".
The matter will come before the June meeting of the MD for debate.
