Planning for the Heritage Centre in Caragh to be changed to a créche facility have been approved conditionally.
The original application was made by Halkirk Property Ltd.in September 2025.
The property had also been used as a community centre.
Permission was also sought for an increase in the footprint of the granted building, as well as the addition of a window and the removal of some of the stone cladding.
The conditions for the approval, according to Kildare County Council, included for no advertising structures associated with the proposed
development to be erected on the property, a detailed layout drawing of the proposed external play facilities, as well as ensuring waste management and drainage is maintained accordingly.
