Pop-Up Swimming Pool To Open In Leixlip

Kildare County Council and Swim Ireland have announce the official opening of a Pop-Up Pool in Leixlip.

The pool, which will be located at Leixlip GAA Club, is 12 meters by 3.4 meters, in a hard sided marquee and is heated to 30 degrees providing the perfect environment to learn to swim or enjoy being in the water.

The official opening of the Pop-up Pool at Glen Easton Grounds, Leixlip GAA Club Wednesday 24th May at 2pm.

The council has also confirmed that the pool will be in operation for a six months period.

Swim Ireland have commened the recruitment of lifeguards and personnel to man the facility during the six months period.

The Pool will be open to individuals, schools, clubs and groups to use and Kildare Sports Partnership will be organising specific programmes with an emphasis on the disability sector and older adults.
