It comes following a motion at a recent municipal district meeting
A local councillor has welcomed updates from Kildare County Council in relation to a feasibility study carried out on the recently vacated Maynooth fire station.
It comes following a motion by Labour Councillor for Clane/Maynooth Angela Feeney at a recent municipal district meeting.
Following the recent opening of the new Maynooth Fire Station, Cllr Feeney had raised the motion for an update on the feasibility study of the old station and it's future use for the community.
She has described it as "a much needed community centre for Maynooth".
Speaking on Kildare Today, Cllr Feeney said that the response from the council was "very comprehensive".
The council said that it would be a "long-term, 3 phase process" adding that "an energy audit is currently in its final stages,
with the report expected shortly".
